Project Background
BraafSA was appointed by Transnet as part of the Bergstan Engineering Consulting team to determine the potential permitting requirements, investigate the environmental risks of the project and adequacy of their existing management plans in relation to the Transnet Pre-Trip Inspection Facility at the Port of Cape Town Container Terminal. This resulted in an Environmental and Community Interface Report which defined the parameters of project, an environmental risk register and clearly outlined the stakeholders who should be engaged to achieve compliance through implementation of the existing Transnet Environmental Management Plans.
