NEMA SECTION 24G APPLICATION PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PROCESS

Rectification Application for the Unlawful upgrading and realignment of an existing unsurfaced access road on Portions 4 and 7 of Farm No. 264 and infilling of the road within 100 meters of the High Water Mark Arniston DEA&DP Reference No:E14/2/1/2/E1/3/0106/15

Notice is hereby given in accordance with the procedures for a Section 24G Application of a Public Participation Process in terms of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA), 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended.

Applicant: Mr. Jan Summs [St Markus Bay Investments (Pty) Ltd]

Location: The site is located north of Camp Street in Arniston adjacent to the coast and includes portions 4 and 7 of Farm 264 (aka Dollas Downs Farm).

Description of activity: The upgrading and realignment of an existing unsurfaced access road from Camp Street in Arniston across Farm 264/7 crossing Farm 264/4, terminating at a residence on Farm 264/7. The access pathway provides access to residents of Farm 264/4 and 264/7, Bredasdorp RD.

How to Register: You are hereby invited to register as an Interested and/or Affected Party (I&AP) and to provide written comments on the EIA process and the project and 24G EIA Report which has been made available for comment at the Arniston Public Library, in Camp Street, Arniston for a period of 30 days and on the project website: www.braafsa.com (Documents for Comment). To register or submit comment, I&APs should refer to the DEA&DP reference numbers above, and provide their name, address & contact details (indicating your preferred method of notification) and an indication of any direct business, financial, personal, or other interest which they have in the application to the contact details provided below. Correspondence throughout the remainder of the EIA process will only be distributed to registered I&APs.I&APs who cannot write or read or who otherwise require special assistance to relay their views on the proposal can contact Olivia Braaf on the telephone number below to assist them to record their comments or
